The Arctic Circle Forum – Asia in the Future of the Arctic took place in Tokyo on March 4-6, 2023. Over 300 participants took part in the forum with more than 50 sessions and the Forum´s receptions.
Arctic Green Energy organized open panel discussion on: HEATING AND COOLING CITIES IS THE NEXT ENERGY REVOLUTION; GEOTHERMAL IS THE ANSWER.
Panel discussions included H.E Gudlaugur Thor Thordarson, Minister of Environment, Energy and Climate, Iceland, and Chairman of Arctic Council 2019-2021, Mr Haukur Hardarson, Chairman and Founder of Arctic Green Energy, Ms Charlotte Zhao, CFO Arctic Green Energy Beijing and Eirikur Bragason the COO of Arctic Green Energy.
H.E Gudlaugur Thor Thordarson emphasized how successful the transition to clean geothermal heating from burning fossil fuels, has been for Iceland and how the Icelandic experience has been exported to other countries with great success. Mr Haukur Hardarson talked about how important role geothermal will be in the future energy mix and the global green transition cannot happen without geothermal heating and cooling. Ms Charlotte Zhao and Mr Eirikur Bragason discussed the benefits of geothermal heating and how it has been proven on a massive scale in countries like China.
